At ben jia korean bbq shanghai with @gamehero
If you like Korean food, go to Ben Jia in the Gubei district. It’s authentic and you can eat for a fair price too! When your full, you head out and you realize you are in China. Until you see the Karaoke bars across the street and the Korean vibe continues.
avatar (movie) tickets most expensive in the world. still a que 4 corners long!
With movie ticket prices going up to 170 RMB in Hong Kong, 100 RMB in Seoul, and a stunning 180 RMB in Shanghai. You can imagine that this movie is the blockbuster of 2010. I’ve never seen a que this long for a movie, and the crowd control is necessary. If you want to skip the line and get in front, you can sometimes buy youself in… for about 300 RMB. There are websites up showing off the movie tickets. No I don’t have them, by the time I walked by and there was no line (this morning at 9) there were no seats for the next two weeks available. Guess I have to wait or go to a non IMAX cinema.
Fish for lunch ;)
I don’t want to sound like an alcoholic, but eating sushi with a little bit of Sake (Japanese ricewine) before doing the big monthly groceries at Carrefour makes my day complete. It just gives you that little breeze of relaxation before entering the jungle of discounts. Oh, salmon is the best.
